VESPEL® SCP‑5000 is a DuPont™ high‑performance polyimide representing a significant advancement over traditional SP grades. Its unfilled formulation provides enhanced thermal and oxidative stability, enabling prolonged use at very high temperatures.

The material offers high stiffness, excellent compressive strength and outstanding dimensional stability, even after repeated thermal cycling.

Purity, insulation and clean‑environment performance

SCP‑5000 features ultra‑high purity, low moisture absorption, very low outgassing and excellent thermal and electrical insulation, making it suitable for sensitive and high‑precision applications.
