ULTEM® 2400
ULTEM™ 2400: glass‑fiber‑reinforced PEI for structural applications
A high‑stiffness PEI for harsh environments
ULTEM™ 2400 is a SABIC™ polyetherimide grade reinforced with 40% glass fiber. This reinforcement provides outstanding stiffness, enhanced mechanical strength and excellent dimensional stability, even under continuous load and elevated temperatures.
Thermal and mechanical performance
The material supports continuous service temperatures around 170 °C, with short‑term exposure up to approximately 210 °C, and offers strong creep resistance for long‑term reliability.
Electrical insulation and fire behavior
ULTEM™ 2400 is electrically insulating and inherently flame retardant, meeting UL94 V‑0 requirements for safety‑critical environments.
