TORLON® 4630
TORLON® 4630: the reference PAI for extreme tribological conditions
A PAI engineered for very high PV performance
TORLON® 4630 is a polyamide‑imide grade formulated with a unique graphite and PTFE lubricant system. This combination provides some of the lowest wear rates and coefficients of friction available in the TORLON® family.
Wear, load and speed capability
The material excels at velocities above 100 ft/min and under very high contact pressures, making it suitable for extreme PV applications where conventional polymers cannot operate reliably.
Thermal stability and durability
TORLON® 4630 retains its mechanical and tribological performance from cryogenic temperatures up to approximately 275 °C, offering excellent dimensional stability and long service life.
