TORLON® 7130
TORLON® 7130: carbon‑fiber‑reinforced PAI for extreme service
A carbon‑reinforced PAI for maximum mechanical performance
TORLON® 7130 is a polyamide‑imide grade reinforced with 30% carbon fiber. This formulation provides some of the highest stiffness and strength available among melt‑processable polymers, while significantly reducing thermal expansion.
Dimensional stability and thermal capability
With a very low coefficient of thermal expansion close to steel and aerospace composites, TORLON® 7130 maintains tight tolerances across severe thermal cycles and retains mechanical performance from cryogenic temperatures up to about 275 °C.
Load, creep and fatigue resistance
The carbon fiber reinforcement delivers excellent creep resistance, high fatigue strength and reliable performance under both static and dynamic loads, enabling metal replacement in demanding applications.
