TORLON® 5530
TORLON® 5530: glass‑fiber‑reinforced PAI for high‑temperature structures
A glass‑reinforced PAI for high mechanical loads
TORLON® 5530 is a polyamide‑imide grade reinforced with 30% glass fiber. It provides high stiffness and strength for structural components exposed to heavy loads and elevated temperatures.
Dimensional stability and thermal capability
With a coefficient of linear thermal expansion approximately 50% lower than unfilled PAI, TORLON® 5530 maintains tight tolerances during severe thermal cycling and delivers reliable performance at continuous service temperatures up to about 220 °C.
Electrical insulation and creep resistance
The glass‑fiber reinforcement allows TORLON® 5530 to remain electrically insulating while offering exceptional creep resistance at high temperature.
